Introduction to Herbalism Series - Winter Herbal Remedies: crafting your own teas and syrups

Introduction to Herbalism Series - Winter Herbal Remedies: crafting your own teas and syrups. February 8, 1-4pm

In this hands-on workshop we will be exploring the process of making two  types of herbal preparations for winter wellness: teas and syrups. Together we will craft personalized elderberry syrup formulas, exploring this syrup in ways that activate all of your senses. We will forage and harvest some of our ingredients on a tea walk and actively engage with a warm cup of our winter finds in a quiet sit spot. You can anticipate a mixture of hands-on work, lecture style, introspective experiences, and gentle movement throughout our three hours together. Bring your curiosity as we share ways to amplify accessibility and connection to the herbal remedies that are available to you this winter season in your kitchen and in the woods of Appalaccia. You’ll leave with a jar of elderberry syrup ingredients that you formulate at the workshop to make at home and try on what you learned.
